Below you have one of my latest custom logo design works, including a brief and some thoughts about my inspiration. You are more than welcome to comment on it!

Brief

We NEED TO have our logo redesigned for our company.
Eternaleds specializes in selling L.E.D. light bulbs that use 90% less energy than traditional bulbs, last 20 years and do not contain toxic mercury. We sell our bulbs online and also provide consulting for local businesses to help them convert their existing lighting to a more energy efficient LED solution.
Our current logo looks too simple and plain. We are looking for something more exciting as LED lighting is truly the future of lighting. We want people to see us as cutting edge, easy to use with a large emphasis on eco-friendliness and "green" since our bulbs do not contain mercury and help reduce electricity usage significantly.

Inspiration

The fact that Eternaleds are selling eco-friendly bulbs gave a clear direction in terms of use of colors. A light nuance of green was the natural choice to go with. Why ? Because it suggests freshness, new life and it transmits a feeling of comfort. In order to express the eco-friendliness I decided that the chosed color had to be seconded by a graphic element which will help to transmit the message, so I included a leaf in the bulb. The rays of light around it come to talk about the function of the bulb. This version of the logo is the end of a long road: I presented several concepts and many versions of this logo until, with the kind assistance of my client, I came to this version of it.



Feed-back

"Zoltan did a superb job with imagining the initial ideas for the logo and was very fast and efficient with the changes. The suggestions that I gave him were gracefully integrated into the logo design. I think the best thing about it is his eye for what looks good and what doesn't and the interaction that he had with me to express that fact. There were some ideas that I thought might look good, but he explained clearly and professionally how some ideas would look good while others might retract from the feel.
